Join a team shaping the future of in-vehicle digital experiences across some of the world’s most desirable automotive brands. This is a rare opportunity to work at the cutting edge of HMI design, where craft, creativity, and technical precision come together.
As a Senior UI & Animation Designer, you’ll sit at the heart of the UX/UI ecosystem—translating high-level creative direction into production-ready, pixel-perfect interfaces. You’ll play a critical role in bridging the gap between concept and implementation, ensuring design intent is fully realised in the final product.
This is a role for someone who obsesses over detail, understands motion as a storytelling tool, and thrives in complex, system-driven environments.
The Role
- You’ll be responsible for taking ownership of UI production across multiple features and programmes, ensuring that every interaction, transition, and visual component meets the highest standards of quality and consistency.
- Working closely with UX designers, visual designers, engineers, and product stakeholders, you’ll:
- Translate creative vision and UX concepts into fully realised UI designs ready for development
- Produce pixel-perfect layouts, components, and interaction states aligned to detailed HMI specifications
- Design and implement motion and animation that enhances usability and brings brand personality to life
- Ensure design feasibility, working within technical constraints while maintaining creative integrity
- Act as the bridge between design and engineering, providing clear documentation and assets for implementation
- Take ownership of visual QA, reviewing builds to ensure fidelity to design intent
Design Systems & Craft
- A key part of this role is contributing to and elevating the design system:
- Create, maintain, and evolve scalable UI component libraries in Figma
- Ensure consistency across products through robust design system governance
- Define and document interaction patterns, motion guidelines, and visual behaviours
- Advocate for reuse, scalability, and efficiency in design workflows
- Support the wider team in adopting and applying design system principles
Motion & Interaction
- Motion is central to this role—not just decoration, but a core part of the user experience:
- Craft high-quality animations in After Effects to communicate interaction behaviours
- Define micro-interactions, transitions, and system feedback
- Use motion to enhance usability, clarity, and brand expression
- Collaborate with developers to ensure accurate implementation of motion design
Collaboration & Leadership
- As a senior member of the team, you’ll also act as a UI advocate:
- Champion best practices in UI design and motion across the team
- Collaborate closely with UX, research, product, and engineering
- Provide guidance and feedback to other designers
- Help elevate the overall quality and consistency of output
- Communicate design decisions clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience as a Senior UI Designer with strong motion/animation expertise
- Advanced proficiency in Figma and Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects)
- Strong experience working within and evolving design systems at scale
- Deep understanding of HMI, product, or complex digital interfaces (automotive experience a plus)
- Solid grounding in UX principles, interaction design, and usability
- Exceptional attention to detail and a passion for pixel-perfect execution
- Ability to balance creative vision with technical constraints
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- A compelling portfolio showcasing UI craft and motion design
Why This Role?
- Work on next-generation automotive experiences seen by millions globally
- Be part of a high-performing, design-led team
- Influence products at both concept and production level
- Combine creative storytelling with technical precision
- Opportunity to shape and evolve design systems at scale
