The Dimensional Systems Team plays a critical role in ensuring that our vehicles achieve the world-class exterior and interior quality standards they deserve. Their team is responsible for every element of Dimensional Quality—from conducting Dimensional Variation Analysis (DVA) on product design to defining and executing the Measurement and Metrology strategy, all the way through to the quality maturation of new vehicles during launch.
Key Responsibilities:- Conducting precise mobile inspections to ensure dimensional quality.
- Utilising GOM, Articulated Arms, Laser Trackers, and Creaform systems, or similar equipment for measurement tasks.
- Producing high-standard inspection reports and working with BIW (Body-in-White) & T&F (Trim & Final) parts and assemblies.
- Supporting the development of new processes and optimizing existing ones to enhance departmental performance.
- Strong mobile inspection skills and a solid understanding of measurement principles.
- Competence in using measurement systems like GOM, Articulated Arms, Laser Trackers, and Creaform systems, or similar.
- Proficiency with GOM & Polyworks software or similar, and a good understanding of alignments and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing).
- Don't worry if you don't have all the skills as training will be given; however, a good understanding of software used or measurement systems is a plus.
This role is paying £40,000 (£200 a day) and is a 12 month initial contract, but they are wanting to flip this role into a more permanent role in the future, if this would be of interest.
