My client is looking for a skilled Maintenance Technician to join their Analytical Measurement Technology team, responsible for maintaining and calibrating emissions measurement equipment across test facilities. These include Portable Emissions Measurement Systems (PEMS), Chassis Dyno test cells, and Engine Testing facilities.

This role involves scheduled maintenance, servicing, and fault rectification to ensure accurate emissions measurement and compliance with industry standards. You will work closely with engineering teams, test facility operators, and external agencies to keep testing operations running smoothly.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform maintenance, calibration, and fault diagnosis on emissions measurement equipment.
  • Support engineering teams and test facility operators to ensure continuous testing capability.
  • Work with mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation systems to maintain high testing standards.
  • Read and interpret electrical, mechanical, and flow diagrams for troubleshooting and repairs.
  • Adhere to Health & Safety regulations, including Risk Assessments and COSHH guidelines.

What We’re Looking For

  • Apprenticeship/NVQ3 qualification or 4+ years of relevant technical experience.
  • Strong skills in fault diagnosis, problem-solving, and preventative maintenance.
  • Experience with mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Hands-on maintenance experience in an industrial, lab, or testing environment.

Desirable Experience

  • Experience with Horiba/AVL emissions measurement equipment (MEXA, i60, Particle Counters, etc.).
  • Calibration and instrumentation expertise with electrical/mechanical measurement techniques.
