We’re supporting a major UK public sector programme and are looking for experienced DevOps Engineers to join a large-scale transformation initiative starting ASAP. This is a high-impact opportunity to be part of a long-term programme focused on decommissioning a legacy mainframe system and delivering a modern, cloud-native data platform that will support critical UK policing services.
What you’ll be doing:
- Building and optimising CI/CD pipelines for automated delivery
- Managing AWS infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform/Ansible)
- Deploying and scaling applications with Docker & Kubernetes
- Supporting the transition from legacy systems to secure, cloud-native services
- Collaborating within a distributed engineering team in a security-sensitive environment
What we’re looking for:
- Strong hands-on experience with AWS, CI/CD, and DevOps tooling
- Solid understanding of containerisation and orchestration (Docker/Kubernetes)
- Experience working with modern application stacks (Java, Node, React, Postgres)
- Comfortable working in regulated or secure environments
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
Bonus: Experience with LLM-assisted engineering tools such as Claude
Security Requirements:
- Active SC Clearance OR eligible to obtain SC Clearance
- NPPV3 is desirable but not essential
Contract Details:
- 12 Month Contract
- Inside IR35
- Fully Remote (no travel required)
- IT equipment provided
- Immediate start preferred
