We're recruiting on behalf of a leading automotive brand for an experienced Vehicle Technician to join their Field Evaluation Unit (FEU), supporting the development and validation of pre-production vehicles. This is an exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge vehicle programmes, carrying out diagnostics, repairs, updates, and investigations that directly contribute to successful product launches.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform inspections and prepare prototype vehicles for evaluation programmes.
- Diagnose and rectify electrical and mechanical faults to a high standard.
- Complete vehicle updates, modifications, and maintenance activities.
- Investigate issues identified during real-world testing and support root cause analysis.
- Read and interpret wiring diagrams and technical documentation.
- Work closely with engineering and programme teams to ensure vehicles meet required standards.
- Maintain exceptional levels of quality, safety, and documentation throughout all work.
Requirements:
- Level 3 Automotive qualification or equivalent apprenticeship.
- Strong experience in electrical and mechanical vehicle diagnostics.
- Background in vehicle servicing, assembly, or rectification.
- Ability to interpret wiring diagrams and technical instructions.
- Experience with hybrid or electric vehicle systems is advantageous.
- Comfortable working independently in a fast-paced technical environment with excellent attention to detail.
