Location: Boston, MA
Responsibilities:
- Tax Review & Analysis
- Conduct periodic reviews of assigned fiduciary accounts using the firm’s trust tax platform, analyzing transaction data and account activity to determine proper tax treatment.
- Identify and resolve issues in coordination with supervisors, trust administrators, attorneys, and clients as needed.
- Prepare and file accurate federal and state fiduciary income tax returns, Forms 1099, and beneficiary statements for an assigned group of trusts and estates.
- Prepare federal and state individual income tax returns, including analysis of supporting documentation, estimated tax planning, and correspondence with clients or their advisors.
- Evaluate fiduciary and individual accounts quarterly for estimated tax payment needs. Perform related calculations and prepare required filings.
- Maintain awareness of filing deadlines and ensure timely and accurate submissions in accordance with internal procedures.
- Maintain ongoing communication with the Director of Tax Services and other team members regarding project status, tax matters, and potential issues.
- Serve as a point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, ensuring responsiveness and professionalism.
- Participate in regular internal and external trainings to stay current with tax law changes and best practices relevant to private client services.
- Contribute to process improvements and other departmental initiatives as assigned.

- 3–5 years of relevant tax experience with fiduciary and individual tax returns in a private client, trust company, or law firm environment.
- Experience with OneSource TrustTax and CCH Axcess required.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or other related field required.
- Solid understanding of fiduciary and individual income tax principles.
- Ability to interpret and apply relevant sections of the Internal Revenue Code and state tax laws.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong analytical and organizational abilities with high attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; ability to quickly learn and navigate firm-specific software systems.
- Team-oriented mindset with the ability to work independently when needed.
