Nixon McQuade are thrilled to partner with a company in Armagh as they search for a motivated and ambitious Trainee Accountant to join their finance team. As the new Trainee Accountant, you will receive comprehensive training and mentorship to develop your skills and knowledge in accounting and finance. You will be involved in various aspects of financial management, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, financial analysis, and reporting.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports.
- Support the finance team in day-to-day accounting tasks, including bookkeeping and data entry.
- Reconcile bank statements and manage accounts payable and receivable.
- Help with the preparation of tax returns and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
- Participate in month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Conduct financial analysis and assist in budgeting and forecasting activities.
- Maintain accurate and organised financial records.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth financial operations.
Qualifications:
- Degree qualification, ideally in a numerate subject or discipline demonstrating your analytical skills.
- Strong numerical and analytical skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other accounting software.
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
