Nixon McQuade are delighted to be working with a leading Belfast law firm as they recruit for a Legal Secretary to join their Healthcare department. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Legal Secretary to join a busy and highly regarded team. This role would suit someone with strong audio typing experience and healthcare law experience is not essential, but would be advantageous.

The Role

  • Audio typing and producing legal correspondence and documents
  • Formatting and proofreading correspondence, reports and legal documentation
  • Managing digital and physical files, ensuring records are accurate and up to date
  • Assisting with case preparation and general document management
  • Liaising with clients, colleagues and Partners in a professional manner
  • Managing diaries, deadlines and workload priorities
  • Providing general administrative support across a busy Healthcare team
  • Using case management systems and Microsoft Office packages

The Person

  • Previous experience in a legal secretary or professional services support role
  • Strong audio typing experience is essential
  • Excellent typing, administrative and document production skills
  • Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy
  • Confident using Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and Teams
  • Experience using case management software would be beneficial
  • Professional, confidential and client-focused approach
  • Reliable, committed and looking for a long-term position
  • Healthcare law experience would be beneficial but is not essential
