A leading international law firm is seeking a Legal Support Assistant to join its Belfast office. This is an excellent opportunity to gain exposure across legal operations, billing, and business support within a highly structured and collaborative environment. This role sits within a central support function, working closely with legal teams and internal departments to ensure the smooth running of day-to-day operations.

The Role

  • Support the processing of expenses, invoices, and received payments, ensuring accuracy throughout.
  • Assist with the billing cycle, including drafting and preparing billing documentation.
  • Carry out property and utility searches via relevant online systems.
  • Maintain organised electronic filing and assist with document/data room management.
  • Update and manage client and contact records within the firm's CRM system.
  • Provide support with marketing initiatives, including events and internal communications.
  • Coordinate meetings and assist with arranging conferences involving counsel.
  • Undertake ad hoc research to support the wider team.
  • Input and track time recorded for external consultants.
  • Utilise internal platforms to manage workloads and ensure tasks are completed efficiently.

The Person

  • Previous experience in an administrative or office-based role.
  • Strong IT skills, particularly in Microsoft Word and Outlook (Excel beneficial).
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Comfortable working within a team-oriented environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving ability.
  • Positive attitude with a willingness to learn and develop.
