Nixon McQuade are delighted to be working with a well-established law firm in Belfast who are seeking a Legal Assistant to join their Insurance Litigation team. This is an excellent entry-level opportunity for someone looking to build a career within legal support.
The role will involve:
- Supporting fee earners within the Insurance Litigation department
- Preparing, maintaining and analysing management information reports
- Producing accurate reports for internal and departmental use
- Working confidently with Excel and large data sets
- Preparing and managing legal documents and correspondence
- Opening, maintaining and organising case files
- Scheduling appointments, meetings and court dates
- Assisting with billing, invoicing and payment procedures
- Liaising with clients, courts and third parties
- Preparing bundles for court hearings
- Managing post, emails, scanning, filing and general administration
- Supporting with legal research and data compilation as required
The Person:
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
- Confident working with data, reports and spreadsheets
- Previous legal, insurance, claims or professional services experience would be advantageous but is not essential
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
- Able to manage a busy workload and prioritise effectively
- Proactive, flexible and comfortable working as part of a team
- Strong understanding of confidentiality and data protection
This role would suit a law graduate or junior legal assistant with excellent Excel skills who is keen to gain experience within insurance litigation and progress their career.
