Nixon McQuade are currently working in partnership with a highly regarded International Law Firm based in Belfast City Centre, who are seeking to recruit a Newly Qualified 2 years PQE Solicitor. This role offers an excellent opportunity for a junior solicitor to join a well-established insurance practice within an International Law Firm, acting on behalf of major insurers and corporate clients. The successful candidate will benefit from exposure to high-quality, complex litigation matters, as well as structured training, mentoring, and long-term career progression.
The successful candidate will join a busy and growing defence insurance team, working across a broad range of litigation matters. Responsibilities will include:
- Managing a caseload of defence insurance litigation files from inception to resolution
- Drafting pleadings, correspondence, and legal documentation
- Instructing and liaising with counsel, experts, and third parties
- Attending court hearings, mediations, and settlement meetings as required
- Working closely with senior solicitors and partners on more complex and high value claims
- Ensuring files are progressed efficiently, in line with internal procedures and client service standards
Candidates should be motivated, detail-oriented, and keen to develop their career within insurance litigation. The ideal candidate will demonstrate:
