Professional Indemnity Solicitor (NQ–3 PQE)
Nixon McQuade are currently working with an established and growing law firm seeking to recruit a Professional Indemnity Solicitor to join its expanding team in Glasgow.
This is an excellent opportunity for a solicitor NQ - 3 PQE to develop their career within a varied and challenging litigation practice. The successful candidate will gain exposure to a broad range of professional negligence and insurance related disputes, acting on behalf of a diverse client base across several professional sectors.
The position offers the opportunity to work on complex matters, develop specialist expertise and benefit from the support of experienced colleagues within a collaborative and supportive working environment.
The Role
- Handling professional negligence claims involving a range of professional services and construction related matters.
- Advising clients on professional indemnity and insurance coverage issues.
- Managing litigation and progressing cases through the Scottish courts.
- Preparing pleadings, legal reports, correspondence and client advice.
- Assisting with complex and high value commercial disputes.
- Supporting alternative dispute resolution processes, including mediation and adjudication.
- Working closely with senior colleagues on a varied caseload.
- Building and maintaining effective client relationships.
The Person
- Qualified Solicitor NQ–3 years' PQE.
- Previous experience in litigation, commercial disputes, insurance or professional negligence would be advantageous.
- Exposure to construction related disputes would be beneficial but is not essential.
- Strong drafting, analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to manage deadlines and competing priorities.
- A proactive approach with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Commercially aware with a strong commitment to delivering excellent client service.
