Nixon McQuade are working with a leading specialist employment law firm seeking an Employment Lawyer to join its growing team. This is an excellent opportunity to work on high-profile and complex employment matters, advising senior executives, partners, and employers across a range of sectors. You will gain exposure to sophisticated clients from the outset and play an active role in a collaborative and ambitious team.

Role

  • Advising clients on a broad range of contentious and non-contentious employment law matters
  • Managing Employment Tribunal and High Court litigation matters
  • Supporting clients through disciplinary, grievance, redundancy, and workplace investigation processes
  • Advising on executive exits, settlement agreements, restrictive covenants, and workplace disputes
  • Assisting with partnership-related matters and disputes
  • Leading settlement negotiations and providing strategic employment law advice
  • Building and maintaining strong client relationships
  • Contributing to business development initiatives and the continued growth of the practice

Candidate Profile

  • Qualified solicitor in England & Wales with 1–4 years' PQE in employment law
  • Experience handling contentious employment matters and Employment Tribunal claims
  • Strong academic background and excellent communication skills
  • Commercially aware with a practical and client-focused approach
  • Confident working directly with senior stakeholders and sophisticated clients
  • Strong negotiation skills and ability to manage competing priorities
  • Collaborative, proactive, and entrepreneurial mindset
  • Interest in legal technology and innovative ways of delivering legal services
