Nixon McQuade are working with a Commercial Law Firm based in Belfast City Centre to recruit a Litigation Solicitor. This is an excellent opportunity to join a highly regarded litigation team acting on behalf of insurers and corporate clients across a broad range of defence matters. The successful candidate will manage a varied caseload of litigation files, with a particular focus on personal injury. You will be responsible for handling cases from initial instruction through to resolution, including court proceedings where necessary. The role offers exposure to high quality work within a supportive and collaborative team environment.
Role
- Manage a caseload of litigation matters from inception to conclusion
- Draft legal documents including pleadings, witness statements, and settlement agreements
- Liaise with clients, insurers, counsel, and third parties
- Attend court hearings
- Provide strategic legal advice and risk assessment to clients
- Negotiate settlements and represent client interests effectively
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and internal procedures
- Maintain accurate case records using case management systems
- Meet billing targets and contribute to the financial performance of the team
Candidate Profile
- 5 PQE, but open to NQs
- Proven ability to manage a busy and varied caseload independently
- Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Confident communicator with strong interpersonal skills
