Nixon McQuade are delighted to be working with a leading Belfast law firm as they recruit for a Legal Secretary to join their Healthcare department. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Legal Secretary to join a busy and highly regarded team. This role would suit someone with strong audio typing experience and healthcare law experience is not essential, but would be advantageous. The firm is open to candidates with solid secretarial experience who are eager to learn and looking for a long-term role.
The Role
- Audio typing and producing legal correspondence and documents
- Formatting and proofreading correspondence, reports and legal documentation
- Managing digital and physical files, ensuring records are accurate and up to date
- Assisting with case preparation and general document management
- Liaising with clients, colleagues and Partners in a professional manner
- Managing diaries, deadlines and workload priorities
- Providing general administrative support across a busy Healthcare team
- Using case management systems and Microsoft Office packages
The Person
- Previous experience in a legal secretary or professional services support role
- Strong audio typing experience is essential
- Excellent typing, administrative and document production skills
- Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy
- Confident using Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and Teams
- Experience using case management software would be beneficial
- Professional, confidential and client-focused approach
- Reliable, committed and looking for a long-term position
- Healthcare law experience would be beneficial but is not essential
