Nixon McQuade are delighted to be working with a well-established Belfast-based law firm, who are seeking an experienced Legal Secretary to join their busy conveyancing team. This is an excellent opportunity for a strong conveyancing secretary to step into a hands-on role supporting the full property transaction lifecycle within a supportive and close-knit environment.
The Role
- You will provide comprehensive secretarial support within a busy conveyancing department, assisting fee earners with residential property transactions from instruction through to completion.
- Duties will include:
- Audio and copy typing of conveyancing documents and correspondence
- Preparing contracts, completion statements and legal documentation
- Managing files from instruction through to post-completion
- Liaising with clients, estate agents, lenders and third parties
- Handling Land Registry submissions and property searches
- Managing diaries, key dates and appointments
- Maintaining accurate case management systems and file records
- General administrative duties to support the wider team
The Person
- Minimum 2-3 years experience as a Legal Secretary, ideally within conveyancing
- Strong knowledge of the conveyancing process
- Excellent audio typing and document production skills
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail
- Confident communicator with a professional manner
- Ability to manage a busy workload and work independently
