Accounts Assistant Overview

NC Associates are working with a well-established business based in Wrexham, who are looking to recruit an Accounts Assistant on a 6 month fixed term contract to support their finance team. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced finance professional who enjoys working within a fast-paced environment and can hit the ground running within a varied finance role. The successful candidate will support the wider finance team with transactional accounting duties and day-to-day finance administration while ensuring accuracy across all processes.

Accounts Assistant Key Responsibilities

  • Processing purchase and sales invoices
  • Assisting with bank reconciliations
  • Supporting credit control and supplier payment processes
  • Maintaining accurate financial records and spreadsheets
  • Assisting with month-end finance duties
  • Managing finance inbox queries and liaising with customers and suppliers
  • Supporting the wider finance team with administrative tasks
  • Ensuring all finance documentation is filed and maintained correctly

Accounts Assistant Experience

  • Previous experience within an accounts assistant or finance administration role
  • Good understanding of purchase ledger and sales ledger processes
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Good working knowledge of Excel and finance systems
  • Ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines
  • Available to start at short notice or immediately preferred
