NC Associates are working exclusively with an established yet market leading property organisation based near Stockport to assist in recruiting a Service Charge Accountant on a temporary basis to help support the senior leadership team in a backlog of work. As a Service Charge Accountant you will take full ownership of the Service Charge duties from start to finish managing a portfolio of clients. The business has grown considerably over the past few years and they see this role being a pivotal part in the future growth of the organisation.

Service Charge Accountant Duties
- Completion of service charge reconciliations
- Service Charge Audit Journal Adjustments
- Maintain Service Charge Budget tracker
- Managing a small team which includes a finance clerk and admin clerk
- Maintain customer on accounts and apportionments
- Ensure RICS best practice guidelines are achieved
- Monitor Budget v’s Expenditure
- Monitor void liabilities
- Process customer balancing charges and supporting documents
- Monitor Cashflow/funding
- Customer query resolution
- Develop and maintain active communication both with the Property Accounts Team and all internal departments
Essential Experience Required
- Previous experience working within a similar role as a Service Charge Accountant or equivalent
- Must be available immediately or on a short notice
- Proven Service Charge Reconciliation experience
- RICS guidelines
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Strong Time Management Skills
- Analytical Skills
- Knowledge of business processes and procedures
- Self-motivated
- A pro-active attitude to conduct frequent face-to-face customer meetings
- Strong attention to detail
