Role Overview

NC Associates are working with a market leading property organisation based in South Manchester who are looking to recruit an experienced Energy Projects Manager to work closely with the senior leadership team to lead the identification, feasibility, and delivery of the companies on-site energy and smart-grid projects. This hybrid development and delivery role ensures each project is technically robust, commercially viable, and aligned with the companies approved Solar TOM and carbon reduction objectives. As an Energy Projects Manager you will be infrastructure biased and have solid understanding of Solar and how it all works.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and evaluate renewable and energy-infrastructure opportunities across the portfolio.
  • Develop feasibility studies, investment cases, and business proposals.
  • Manage full lifecycle delivery through the Utilities TOM Gate 0–5 process.
  • Coordinate internal and external partners to deliver on-time, on-budget outcomes.
  • Collaborate with Engineering on technical design assurance and commissioning.
  • Oversee project CAPEX/OPEX performance and ROI tracking.
  • Support evolution of the Solar TOM into a wider Energy Projects playbook.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Engineering, Energy, or Business.
  • Previous experience delivering projects from start to finish.
  • 5+ years in renewable or distributed energy project management or development.
  • Experience in feasibility analysis, financial modelling, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Familiarity with PPAs, EPC/O&M contracts, and regulatory frameworks.
