An amazing opportunity for a Legal Accounts Assistant to join an award winning firm based in Manchester City Centre.

As the Legal Accounts Assistant you will handle, manage and record financial transactions, working in a busy team reporting into the Head of Finance.

  • Legal Accounts Assistant Responsibilities
  • Process client and office account transactions
  • Manage daily banking, including posting receipts and processing electronic payments.
  • Complete bank reconciliations and investigate any discrepancies.
  • Process CHAPS, BACS and Faster Payments accurately and within required deadlines.
  • Handle client completions, ensuring funds are transferred promptly and correctly.
  • Post purchase invoices and process supplier payments.
  • Manage office expenses and petty cash where required.
  • Raise client bills and allocate receipts accurately.
  • Reconcile client and office ledgers on a regular basis.
  • Support month-end procedures, including reconciliations and reporting.
  • Prepare and submit VAT returns where applicable.
  • Legal Accounts Assistant Experience Required
  • Experience as an Accounts Assistant / Legal Cashier with relevant transferable skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel
  • Strong organisational skills and communication skills
  • A proactive and positive approach with excellent problem-solving skills
  • A willingness to learn, develop and adapt within a growing finance team.
