Accounts Assistant – the role
NC Associates are working exclusively with a well-established and expanding organisation in Manchester City Centre to recruit an Accounts Assistant. This role is ideal for someone looking to broaden their finance experience within a collaborative and fast-paced environment. Reporting to the Finance Manager, you’ll play a key part in assisting with financial transactions, reconciliations, and month-end processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assisting with purchase and sales ledger processing
- Reconciling bank accounts and supplier statements
- Processing invoices, payments, and credit notes
- Assisting with month-end duties, including accruals and prepayments
- Supporting the accounts receivable and payable functions
- Handling finance queries and liaising with suppliers and internal teams
- Maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring compliance with company policies
- Providing general support to the finance team as required
What We’re Looking For:
- Previous experience in an Accounts Assistant role or similar finance position
- Knowledge of purchase and sales ledger processes
- Strong Excel skills and familiarity with finance software
- Highly organised and detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks
- A proactive and problem-solving mindset
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with teams across the business
