Practice Growth Manager Overview
NC Associates are working with an established accountancy practice group, seeking a Practice Growth Manager to support the continued expansion of the UK business. The office is based either in Southport or Birkenhead, with regular travel expected to the alternative office where business needs require. This is a commercially focused role responsible for generating new clients, managing the enquiry pipeline, and supporting the growth of existing client relationships. You will work closely with the leadership team and client managers to ensure new business opportunities are effectively identified, proposals are delivered efficiently, and new clients are onboarded smoothly. As part of a large global professional services group, this role plays an important part in driving ongoing growth across the UK practice.
Practice Growth Manager Key Responsibilities
- Manage, qualify, and progress incoming business enquiries
- Engage with prospective clients to understand their accounting and wider business needs; present the firm’s services clearly and confidently to potential clients
- Prepare proposals using Ignition and manage the full proposal process
- Follow up on leads and convert prospects into new clients
- Maintain an organised and active pipeline of opportunities
- Support the onboarding of new clients into the practice
- Work with client portfolio managers to identify additional service opportunities within existing clients
- Build and maintain relationships with referral partners and professional networks
- Provide regular updates on pipeline activity, conversion rates, and performance metrics
Practice Growth Manager Experience
- Background in business development or client relationship management within a professional services environment
- Strong understanding of SME businesses and how they operate
- Experience managing a sales or enquiry pipeline
- Confident communicating with business owners and senior decision-makers
- Highly organised with strong follow-up and relationship management skills
- Experience in accountancy practice, financial services, legal services, or similar sectors is highly desirable
