Legal Cashier Role Overview
An excellent opportunity for a Legal Cashier to join a law firm based in Stockport. You will work closely with and report into the Senior Cashier. In time, this role will progress into the Head Cashier of the firm
Legal Cashier Responsibilities:
- Monitoring and posting office and client account transactions
- Processing client payments
- Processing bills
- Bank reconciliations
- Processing bank payments and transfers between accounts
- Liaising with partners and fee earners
- Creating legal aid bills
Legal Cashier Experience Required
- Previous experience in a Legal Cashier or similar finance role within a law firm
- Sound knowledge of Solicitors’ Accounts Rules (SAR) and legal accounting procedures
- Knowledge of the Solicitors Accounts Rules
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
- Excellent time management and organisational skills with the ability to work to deadlines
