NC Associates are working exclusively with an established yet market leading property organisation based near Stockport to assist in recruiting a Service Charge Accountant on a permanent basis to help support the senior leadership team in delivering robust service charge accounts to clients. As a Service Charge Accountant you will take full ownership of the Service Charge duties from start to finish managing a portfolio of clients. The business has grown considerably over the past few years and they see this role being a pivotal part in the future growth of the organisation.

Duties

  • Completion of service charge reconciliations
  • Service Charge Audit Journal Adjustments
  • Maintain Service Charge Budget tracker
  • Managing a small team which includes a finance clerk and admin clerk
  • Maintain customer on accounts and apportionments
  • Ensure RICS best practice guidelines are achieved
  • Monitor Budget v’s Expenditure
  • Monitor void liabilities
  • Process customer balancing charges and supporting documents
  • Monitor Cashflow/funding
  • Customer query resolution
  • Develop and maintain active communication both with the Property Accounts Team and all internal departments

Essential Experience

  • Previous experience working within a similar role as a Service Charge Accountant or equivalent
  • Proven Service Charge Reconciliation experience
  • RICS guidelines
