A growing organisation based in Bromborough is looking to recruit an Assistant Accountant to join their finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for an AAT Level 4 qualified finance professional looking to take the next step in their career.
The successful candidate will support the wider finance function across month-end reporting, reconciliations, transactional finance, and management information. Working closely with senior members of the finance team, this role offers the opportunity to build on existing accounting knowledge while gaining valuable commercial exposure within a supportive and progressive environment.
Key Responsibilities:- Supporting the month-end close process
- Preparing and posting journals and maintaining accurate financial records
- Completing balance sheet reconciliations
- Assisting with management accounts and financial reporting
- Supporting budgeting and forecasting processes
- Reviewing and analysing financial information to identify discrepancies
- Managing transactional finance processes including purchase and sales ledger support
- Assisting with cash flow reporting and monitoring
- Supporting audit preparation and providing information when required
- Working collaboratively with internal teams to resolve finance queries
- AAT Level 4 qualified (essential)
- Previous experience within an accounts or finance role
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and processes
- Experience with reconciliations, journals, and month-end procedures
- Strong Excel skills and confidence using finance systems
