NC Associates are working in partnership with a well-established and growing Accountancy Practice based in Manchester City Centre to recruit an Audit Senior. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced audit professional looking to take the next step in their career within a progressive firm offering strong progression opportunities and exposure to a varied and interesting client base.

Reporting to Audit Managers and Partners, you will play a key role in leading audit assignments from planning through to completion while supporting junior team members and maintaining strong client relationships.

Audit Senior Responsibilities

  • Leading audit assignments from planning through to completion
  • Preparing statutory accounts for a varied client portfolio
  • Managing on-site and remote audit fieldwork
  • Liaising directly with clients and acting as a key point of contact
  • Reviewing work prepared by junior members of the team
  • Supporting and mentoring trainees and junior staff
  • Ensuring compliance with relevant accounting and auditing standards
  • Identifying risk areas and recommending improvements to controls
  • Building and maintaining strong client relationships
  • Supporting Managers and Partners with ad-hoc project work where required

Audit Senior Experience Required

To be successful in your application, you should have the following experience:

  • ACA / ACCA qualified or finalist (or equivalent experience)
  • Previous experience working within an Accountancy Practice environment
  • Experience leading audits from planning through to completion
  • Strong knowledge of UK GAAP and auditing standards
  • Experience preparing statutory accounts
  • Excellent communication and client-facing skills
  • Ability to manage multiple assignments and deadlines effectively
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Excel
