Nivoda is where innovation and gemstones meet. We help jewellery retailers and gemstone suppliers trade more easily through our B2B marketplace, connecting businesses of all sizes with global diamond and gemstone supply.
The Data & Financial Platform team owns Nivoda's data platform and the shared financial capabilities of the marketplace, ensuring core data and financial systems are reliable, useful, and scalable.
This role works closely with the Head of Data, engineers, analysts, Sales, and Marketing as we rebuild Nivoda's GTM infrastructure. The aim is to replace manual steps, disconnected tools, and fragile hand-offs with reliable systems and automation.
You will work across our platform, GTM Engine, Salesforce, Customer.io, enrichment services, Snowflake, and other tools. Start with the problem, choose the simplest sensible approach, then build or configure what is needed.
This is a hands-on engineering role with clear priorities, allowing you to propose an approach and ship it safely.
Responsibilities:
- Work with GTM stakeholders to turn unclear process requests into clear technical requirements and a sensible implementation approach.
- Build integrations, customer or prospect event flows, automations, and changes to our GTM Engine using APIs, webhooks, queues, scheduled workflows, or small services.
- Choose build, buy, or configure based on the problem, preferring native platform capability first.
- Build for production from the start, testing common failure paths and adding necessary monitoring.
- Ship and support what you build using version control, code review, and safe deployment.
- Work with Salesforce and other platform owners to integrate cleanly while ensuring systems emit the data needed to measure performance.
- Document important flows, decisions, and recovery steps.
Requirements:
- 2+ years in software, systems, or integration engineering with experience in shipping real integrations or services using APIs, webhooks, or event-driven systems.
- Solid programming ability in Python, JavaScript, or TypeScript, along with working SQL and confidence using Git and code review.
- Experience integrating with business systems such as CRM, payments, finance, marketing, or operations platforms.
- Ability to work directly with non-technical stakeholders and challenge unclear requests.
- Capability to learn unfamiliar systems quickly and choose the simplest solution that will hold up in production.
- Consideration of failure cases before they become production problems.
Nice to have:
- Experience at a marketplace or a company selling to small businesses at volume.
- Hands-on time with an iPaaS or workflow tool such as n8n, Zapier, or Workato.
- Familiarity with tools in our stack such as Snowflake, Customer.io, Gong, Clay, or similar systems.
- Experience with cloud runtimes, CI/CD, observability, or production support.
Our culture and what we offer:
- Flexible working hours and a vibrant company culture.
- Private health insurance.
- Opportunities for growth and learning.
- Flexible compensation card (meals, transport, childcare).
- Unlimited holiday allowance.
- The chance to join during an exponential expansion phase.
