b Overview /b p In this role you will own the execution of trade compliance for cross-border shipments, shaping how we classify goods and navigate regulatory rules. You’ll work closely with Legal, Fulfillment, and Ops to implement a scalable compliance operating rhythm as Nivoda grows internationally. You’ll optimize duties, manage broker performance, and drive cost-saving opportunities across US, UK, EU imports/exports. This is a high-ownership, individual contributor role at a fast-growing, remote-friendly company. /p b Pay / Benefits /b ul li Flexible working /li li Remote work /li li Opportunities for growth and learning /li li Unlimited holiday allowance /li li Vibrant company culture /li li Low-hierarchy environment /li /ul b Responsibilities /b ul li Prepare shipment documentation and commercial invoices, ensuring complete, centralized records /li li Apply HTS classifications and country-of-origin determinations approved by Legal Compliance /li li Manage day-to-day customs broker relationships and monitor performance /li li Monitor duties as part of landed costs, file claims for errors with brokers /li li Resolve routine customs queries and ensure accurate declarations for import/export /li li Own the duty drawback program and coordinate with Livingstone to prepare and validate claims /li li Monitor the US import bond to ensure business continuity /li li Coordinate with manufacturers (starting with India) on export documentation for compliant, efficient shipping /li li Identify duty-saving opportunities via relevant free trade agreements /li li Build out trade compliance processes as the jewellery business scales to new markets /li li Escalate complex classification or legal interpretation to Legal Compliance /li /ul b Key requirements /b ul li Proven experience in global trade compliance or customs operations with US/UK/EU import/export /li li Extensive US import-export experience /li li Direct experience managing customs broker relationships and shipment documentation at volume /li li Experience filing duty drawback or tariff reclaim claims /li li Autonomy as an individual contributor /li li EU or UK base with ability to work across time zones /li li Strong stakeholder management skills across external brokers/carriers and internal teams /li li Commercial mindset linking compliance work to cost savings and business impact /li /ul ul li Stakeholder management /li li Detail-oriented and process-minded /li li Autonomy and initiative /li li HTS classifications /li li country-of-origin determinations /li li customs broker management /li /ul
