About Nivoda
Nivoda is a rapidly scaling global B2B diamond and gemstone marketplace connecting jewellery retailers with competitive, high-quality suppliers worldwide. Processing $300M+ in annual transactions and operating across multiple regions, Nivoda is transforming a $350B industry that has historically been slow to modernise.
Our Mission
Diamond and gemstone trading has long been plagued by inefficiency, opacity, and exclusivity. Nivoda was built to change that - to democratise access and empower every business, regardless of size or location, to buy and sell with confidence. Independent jewellers are at the heart of this mission. They deserve the same access to quality, pricing, and selection as the biggest players in the industry. That's exactly what we give them.
The Team
Our Sales team is the engine that brings Nivoda's mission to life. We're a high-energy, globally distributed group that moves fast, owns outcomes, and genuinely cares about the success of every jewellery business we work with. This is a team that thrives on commercial creativity, deep customer relationships, and relentless execution and we're growing fast.
About the Role
As a Sales Development Representative (SDR) at Nivoda, you'll be at the front line of our EMEA growth - identifying, engaging, and qualifying prospective jewellery businesses, and turning cold outreach into warm, excited conversations for our Account Executive team. This is a phone-first, high-volume role: you'll be on the phone every day, having genuine conversations with jewellery business owners across the UK, and building the pipeline that powers our expansion. It's also a launchpad - you'll learn the full sales motion, build real expertise in an industry undergoing massive disruption, and accelerate your career in tech sales.
What would YOU be doing?
- Proactively prospect and qualify new business opportunities via outbound calls, emails, and LinkedIn, targeting independent jewellers, retailers, and diamond buyers across the UK.
- Research target accounts to identify key stakeholders and tailor outreach that resonates, no generic copy-paste sequences.
- Conduct high-volume outreach with a clear narrative: help prospects understand how Nivoda saves them time, money, and headaches.
- Qualify inbound leads efficiently, ensuring the right conversations get to the right AEs at the right time.
- Book and run high-quality demo calls, with handoff to the Account Executive team after signup and KYC verification, with clear notes and context.
- Maintain a clean and accurate CRM (we use Salesforce), pipeline hygiene matters here.
- Collaborate closely with AEs and marketing to refine messaging, test new sequences, and share what's working.
- Hit and exceed weekly and monthly KPIs around activity, conversations held, and meetings sat, and a few other metrics.
- Stay sharp on Nivoda's product, competitive landscape, and the jewellery industry - we invest in your learning.
- Be a key voice in shaping how we build and scale the SDR function in EMEA.
What do we need from YOU?
- 1–3 years of experience in a sales or business development role - ideally at a high-velocity SMB SaaS or marketplace company.
- Proven cold calling experience and genuine comfort on the phone, this role requires daily outbound calling, and you need to be energised by it, not just willing to do it.
- You understand what a strong SMB sales motion looks like - short cycles, high volume, value-led conversations.
- Excellent communicator - you write clearly, speak confidently, and can adapt your pitch on the fly.
- Resilient and driven - you don't let rejection slow you down. You treat every 'no' as data and iterate.
- Naturally curious - you ask good questions and genuinely want to understand the customer's world before you pitch.
- Organised and accountable - you keep your pipeline clean, your follow-ups timely, and your commitments.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment where things evolve quickly and initiative is rewarded.
Nice to have
- Experience in the jewellery industry, luxury goods, or a marketplace with a jewellery or luxury vertical.
- Familiarity with Salesforce or another CRM for pipeline management.
- Any exposure to marketplaces, two-sided platforms, or B2B e-commerce.
- A second language - particularly European languages such as French, German, Italian, Spanish, or Dutch.
