As part of Nium’s Business Development team, you’ll partner with industry leaders in financial institutions, travel, and technology, contributing to a team of seasoned payments experts. You’ll lead and inspire a team of account managers, delivering exceptional value to clients while deepening commercial relationships. You’ll collaborate with business development, product, operations, and compliance to ensure Nium’s solutions evolve with client needs and market opportunities. This is a senior commercial leadership role with high visibility and strategic impact, responsible for shaping Nium’s success in Europe.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leading and mentoring a team of account managers, setting team goals, and ensuring their success.
- Identifying and addressing potential churn risks, proactively engaging with customers, and driving retention.
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs, and ensuring their satisfaction.
- Identifying opportunities to expand customer accounts and drive revenue growth through additional products or services.
- Driving customer success and contributing to overall organizational targets from growth and servicing perspectives.
- Identifying and implementing process improvements to enhance customer experience and team efficiency.
- Representing the voice of the customer to influence internal stakeholders and promote a customer-centric mindset.
Requirements:
- 15+ years of experience in Business Development, Account Management, or Customer Success with emphasis on cross-sell and upsell motions.
- Experience leading and scaling account management teams, supporting global clients.
- Successful track record selling into or managing accounts within payments, financial institutions, enterprise platforms, or travel.
- Strong understanding of the financial services and payments landscape, including cross-border payments and fintech ecosystems.
- Familiarity with CRM or sales enablement tools (e.g., Salesforce, Zendesk) is preferred.
- Comfortable in a dynamic environment with ambiguity and evolving processes.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving business environment with an engaged, upbeat attitude.
- Proficiency in English; multilingualism is a plus.
- Experience using AI to streamline account management is a plus.
