Due to continued growth, we are looking for an experiencedMechanical Design Engineerto join our Engineering team.


The Role


Working as part of a collaborative engineering team, you will design and develop precision mechanical components and assemblies from concept through to production. You'll work closely with manufacturing, assembly and vehicle application engineers to deliver innovative, high-quality suspension products. PLEASE NOTE: WE ARE NOT ACCEPTING NEWLY QUALIFIED GRADUATES.


Key Responsibilities



  • Design mechanical components and assemblies usingSolidWorks.

  • Produce fully toleranced manufacturing drawings and production documentation.

  • Design for CNC machining and manufacture.

  • Support product development from concept to production.

  • Work with manufacturing teams to optimise designs.

  • Maintain CAD files, engineering documentation and Bills of Materials (BOMs).

  • Support prototype development using 3D scanning and 3D printing.

  • Contribute to continuous product improvement.


About You


Essential:



  • Minimum3 years' experiencein a Mechanical Design Engineering role.

  • At least3 years' SolidWorksexperience.

  • Strong 3D CAD modelling skills.

  • Experience producing manufacturing drawings with geometric tolerances.

  • Knowledge of CNC machining, Design for Manufacture (DFM), engineering materials and manufacturing processes.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.


Desirable:



  • HNC/HND or Degree in Mechanical Engineering (or similar).

  • Experience with prototype development, MRP systems and BOM management.

  • Experience using 3D scanning and 3D printing.

  • Interest in motorsport or high-performance automotive engineering.

  • Suspension or shock absorber design experience (advantageous but not essential).
