A legal practice is seeking an experienced Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive with a minimum of three years’ relevant experience. A recognised private client qualification would be advantageous but is not essential. The role is primarily office-based, although occasional travel to alternative locations may be required, so access to personal transport for business purposes is necessary.

The successful candidate will play an active role in building relationships within the local community, identifying opportunities for business development, and supporting existing clients with additional services across the department. The position requires strong experience in advising on and preparing Wills, Lasting Powers of Attorney, and Probate matters.

This opportunity would suit a motivated and proactive individual who is confident in managing their own workload and capable of working independently. Responsibilities:
  • Managing your own caseload while ensuring the case management system is kept fully updated and organised
  • Delivering a professional, informative, and welcoming service to clients at all times
  • Working collaboratively within a team supporting elderly clients and bereaved families
  • Visiting nursing homes and the homes of elderly clients when required
  • Taking instructions relating to Wills, Lasting Powers of Attorney, Probate, Estate Administration, and Court of Protection matters
  • Preparing and drafting legal documentation, including Wills and Powers of Attorney
  • Submitting Probate applications to the Probate Registry
  • Ensuring all work-related requests are completed within agreed deadlines
  • Maintaining files accurately and ensuring all documentation is complete and properly organised
  • Producing routine correspondence accurately and preparing it for signature
  • Compiling reports and documents, including photocopying and scanning where necessary
  • Meeting all agreed deadlines and managing workload efficiently
  • Taking initiative in your own professional and career development
  • Building and developing transferable skills across the wider business
  • Contributing positively to the team and ensuring the role continues to provide value to both colleagues and clients
