Nisos is the human risk management company specializing in unmasking threats before they escalate. We are a trusted advisor who operates as an extension of security, intelligence, legal, and human resource teams to protect their people and business. Our intelligence-led solutions help enterprises make critical decisions, manage human risk, and drive real world consequences for digital threats.

The Opportunity

Nisos is hiring a Principal Product Designer to own the end-to-end design strategy for our Ascend platform. This is a high-visibility role: you’ll work cross-functionally to understand distinct personas and problem spaces across Human Digital Risk—including Executive Protection, Insider Threat, and digital risk monitoring—and turn that understanding into clear, intuitive product experiences. You’ll lead both 0→1 concepts and the evolution of existing product surfaces (1→2 and beyond).

What You’ll Do

  • Own design strategy and process end-to-end for Nisos’ Ascend platform, from early concept through shipped experience.
  • Create rapid prototype and high fidelity design files for external and internal design validation.
  • Lead design conversations and prototype experiments with design partners, customers, and future clients to help iterate and produce designs that align to customer and market needs.
  • Lead net-new design initiatives and iterate on core product surfaces.
  • Conduct UX research with customers and end users: frame problems, explore concepts, validate ideas, and partner with Product and Engineering to bring solutions to life.
  • Create personas, journey maps, conceptual diagrams, user flows, wireframes, and interactive prototypes.
  • Make strategic design and UX decisions for existing and new features in complex, high-stakes workflows.
  • Identify design problems and deliver elegant, usable solutions through rapid testing and iteration.
  • Collaborate closely with Product Management, Engineering, and Intelligence Services in a distributed team.
  • Raise the bar for design quality—through clear communication, critique, and contribution to shared standards and patterns.
  • Anticipate how experiences may need to evolve across future product versions, not only what to ship today.

Who You Are

  • 7+ years of UX / product design experience; preference for candidates who have designed complex solutions in threat intelligence, cybersecurity, or related domains.
  • Expert in modern product design tools, especially Figma, with strong prototyping skills.
  • Experienced applying user-centered design: research, usability testing, rapid prototyping, heuristic evaluation, and accessibility considerations.
  • Strong grasp of mobile-first and responsive design for complex B2B products.
  • Able to work directly with customers and stakeholders to clarify requirements and design complete experiences that meet real needs.
  • Comfortable iterating efficiently within Scrum / agile delivery.
  • Clear communicator who can explain design process, rationale, and tradeoffs to teams and clients.
  • Effective collaborator who turns abstract ideas into concrete design implications.
  • Open to feedback and constructive critique; motivated by solving real user pain points through great design.

Nice to Have

  • Experience using AI to explore and iterate on design concepts.
  • Experience working within a design library and contributing to a design system.
  • Background in threat intelligence, digital risk protection, OSINT investigations, digital threat monitoring, Insider Threat, Executive Protection, or adjacent fields.
  • Demonstrated leadership driving end-to-end design for net-new initiatives.
  • Strategic product design mindset: designing for today’s needs while anticipating multi-version evolution.
