We are currently seeking an experienced Registered Children Home Manager to lead and develop a new children’s residential home. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated professional who has experience establishing and managing high-quality residential care services for children and young people.

As a Registered Children Home Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day management of the home, ensuring that the service operates in line with Ofsted regulations and provides a safe, supportive, and nurturing environment for the young people in our care.

The successful Registered Children Home Manager will play a key role in the opening and development of the service, including preparing the home for registration, recruiting and developing staff, and implementing robust care practices and procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the opening and registration of a new children’s residential home.
  • Ensure the home operates in full compliance with Ofsted standards and relevant legislation.
  • Manage and support the staff team, promoting a positive and professional working environment.
  • Develop and maintain high-quality care plans tailored to the needs of the young people.
  • Maintain effective safeguarding practices and ensure the wellbeing of all residents.
  • Work closely with external professionals, local authorities, and stakeholders.
Requirements
  • NVQ Level 5 in Leadership and Management for Children’s Residential Care (or equivalent) – essential.
  • Previous experience as a Registered Children Home Manager – essential.
  • Proven experience opening and registering a new children’s home – essential.
  • Strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of Ofsted regulations and children’s residential care standards.
