Celebrated for its focus on Japanese culture, the business has an exceptional international customer base.
We are now looking for an energetic and experienced E-commerce Operator to join the small-scale team at the store - overseeing and driving our e-commerce business forward, managing and developing the company’s website, taking responsibility for the online orders, handling analytics and reporting, and looking after online queries. Such a multi-disciplinary role will suit someone attracted to the working environment of a fast-growing small company, and the challenge of the range of responsibilities that such a situation provides.
The key areas of responsibility are as follows:
- Managing and developing online store, using Shopify, including apps
- Registering new items, editing descriptions and notes
- Applying prices, maintaining pricing systems (eg VAT)
- Writing and editing meta descriptions / URLs
- Photography and image editing (Photoshop)
- Managing online orders
- Dispatching online orders (ordering / packing / registrations)
- Website management and development (stock monitoring, layout etc)
- Newsletter management
- Financial administration (VAT / organic certification)
- Managing Google business profile / analytics
- Providing customer support / online queries
Experience Required: The post will require at least 1 year’s e-commerce experience, gained using Shopify in a commercial environment, and fluency in Photoshop / Canva / Illustrator. We are looking for someone with a real knowledge of how to run an online store, confident with order processes and the ecosystem, including analytics and financial reporting. Website management skills will be second nature and good photography skills a valuable asset. If you have international shipment expertise, all the better.
For the right person it’s a first-class opportunity, taking on a wealth of responsibilities in a fast-growing company that’s one of the most successful – and delightful – cultural icons in Notting Hill. The package is dependent on experience. Working hours 9.00 to 6.00 (1 hour break) working in-store.
