Nisbets Limited are currently recruiting for an Account Manager – Contract Catering & Buying Groups to join our Key Accounts team, supporting the growth and retention of key customer relationships across the Contract Catering sector and Buying Groups.
The role is based in London to support customer relationships and business development activities, National travel will be required on occasion.
As an Account Manager at Nisbets, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of key accounts, driving revenue and margin growth, identifying opportunities to increase customer spend, and ensuring exceptional customer retention.
You will work closely with key decision-makers, building long-term partnerships and delivering commercial value to both customers and the business.
This is a fast-paced and customer-focused role requiring strong commercial awareness, relationship-building skills, and a proactive approach to sales growth.
You will collaborate with internal teams across the business to identify opportunities, deliver solutions, and support the achievement of strategic sales objectives.
Key Accountabilities
Manage an allocated portfolio of Key Account Contract Catering customers.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with Key Buying Groups and Contract Catering stakeholders.
Conduct regular face-to-face customer meetings with key decision-makers.
Achieve agreed sales and margin targets.
Support the National Sales Manager in delivering sector sales and margin objectives.
Identify opportunities to increase share of wallet and customer spend across your account base.
Focus on driving profitable growth, particularly through equipment and product sales opportunities.
Identify and develop new business opportunities in partnership with Commercial and New Business teams.
Build strong relationships with key departments across the business to support customer success.
Secure customer business through the negotiation and agreement of contractual terms.
Work closely with internal support and Business Development teams to ensure quotations are accurately priced and effectively converted into sales.
Capabilities, Skills and Experience Required
Proven experience managing key accounts within a B2B sales environment.
Experience working with Contract Catering customers, Buying Groups, or a similar commercial sector would be advantageous.
Strong track record of achieving and exceeding sales and margin targets.
Excellent relationship-building and stakeholder management skills.
Commercially focused with the ability to identify growth opportunities and drive profitable sales.
Strong negotiation and communication skills.
Highly organised, self-motivated, and able to manage a busy customer portfolio effectively.
Ability to work collaboratively across multiple teams and functions.
Comfortable travelling regularly and meeting customers face-to-face.
Full UK driving licence.
