Nisbets Limited are currently recruiting for a Digital Merchandiser to join our eCommerce team and play a key role in optimising the online customer journey, driving conversion, and enhancing commercial performance across our digital platforms. This role is based at our Avonmouth office, with the flexibility to work from home as part of a hybrid working pattern after a period of training.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and optimising assigned online categories, ensuring customers can easily find, navigate, and purchase the right products. You will coordinate the introduction of new products, improve search and navigation journeys, and ensure all product information and assets are delivered accurately and on time.
This is a highly collaborative and analytically focused role, working closely with colleagues across eCommerce, Commercial, Content, SEO, and Digital Marketing to deliver a seamless and commercially effective customer experience. You will use insight and analytics to understand customer behaviour, identify opportunities to improve conversion, enhance category performance, and support wider commercial initiatives. This role is ideal for a data-driven and commercially minded digital professional with a strong understanding of online merchandising and the end-to-end customer journey.
Key Accountabilities- Proactively own and optimise assigned website categories to enhance customer experience and support commercial growth.
- Coordinate new product introductions across UK & IE sites, ensuring launches are delivered to schedule with all required assets and information.
- Use analytics tools such as Adobe Analytics and GA4 to monitor performance, understand customer behaviour, and identify conversion opportunities.
- Collaborate with SEO, Paid Acquisition, and Content teams to improve search visibility, product findability, and navigation pathways.
- Support promotional campaigns and commercial initiatives by aligning category content and product presentation.
- Manage ad-hoc onsite updates including discontinued products, delivery information, and asset changes.
- Produce accurate and insightful performance reports to drive continuous improvement in category performance.
- Build strong relationships with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth execution of online merchandising activities.
- Previous experience in digital merchandising or digital marketing.
- Demonstrable ability to analyse data and make insight-led decisions.
- Strong understanding of digital customer behaviour and online journey optimisation.
- Working knowledge of SEO principles.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Experience using analytics platforms such as Adobe Analytics, GA4, Search Console or Ahrefs.
- Excellent communication, planning, and organisational skills.
- Ability to work independently, prioritise workload, and manage competing deadlines.
- Strong collaboration skills and the ability to work effectively with multiple stakeholders.
- Proactive mindset with a desire to learn and stay up-to-date with digital and product developments.
