Key Accountabilities Drive and exceed sales and margin targets to maximise store profitability through the delivery of an effective strategic sales plan. Build a strong understanding of the local market, identifying opportunities to generate new business and grow existing customer relationships. Develop and implement targeted outreach and traffic-driving activities while monitoring competitor activity and market trends. Maintain regular communication with senior leadership regarding store performance, opportunities, and challenges. Manage staffing levels effectively, ensuring rotas, shift patterns, holidays, and absence are planned to meet business requirements. Lead, coach, and develop team members through training, performance reviews, one-to-ones, and ongoing development support. Manage the full employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, engagement, and succession planning. Support and lead teams through business change and company communications, ensuring understanding and engagement. Create and maintain an inspiring in-store environment that reflects customer needs, company standards, and promotional activity. Ensure all company policies and compliance requirements are adhered to, including cash handling, banking procedures, health and safety, operational controls, and building maintenance. Take ownership of health and safety compliance, ensuring the successful completion of audits and maintaining a safe working environment. Deliver outstanding customer experiences and professionally manage challenging situations to achieve positive outcomes.
