Nisbets Limited is currently recruiting for a Warehouse Automation Engineering Technician to join our Operations team based at our fulfilment centre in Avonmouth, Bristol.
This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a growing team, supporting the maintenance and performance of our warehouse automation systems. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of robotic technology, conveyor systems, and boxing machines, helping us achieve our growth plans.
This role is based at our Avonmouth site, working Monday to Friday from 1pm to 10pm, in line with operational shifts.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform planned maintenance and inspections according to company policies and manufacturer guidelines.
- Respond to and resolve reactive faults, identify root causes, and support preventative measures.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation in line with company and regulatory requirements.
- Ensure all work complies with Health & Safety procedures.
- Collaborate with the automation team to provide support across shifts.
- Assist with general maintenance tasks as needed, prioritizing effectively.
- Develop skills and knowledge through on-the-job learning.
Skills and Experience
- Relevant engineering qualifications.
- Working towards an electrical and/or mechanical engineering qualification.
- Experience in warehouse automation is desirable.
- Strong fault-finding and maintenance skills in electrical and mechanical systems (desirable).
- Good IT skills, including Microsoft Excel and Office applications.
- Team player with good communication skills and results-driven attitude.
- Positive, proactive, and safety-conscious approach.
