Overview
The Caretaker at Nirvana Managed Services plays a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness, safety, and operational integrity of assigned school facilities across Chester, North Wales, Wirral, and Manchester. Responsibilities
- Perform general cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and dusting
- Conduct regular property inspections to identify maintenance issues and safety hazards
- Report maintenance and repair needs promptly to supervisors or the maintenance team
- Monitor and manage inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment
- Adhere strictly to all safety protocols and regulatory requirements
- Respond professionally and efficiently to requests or concerns from visitors, staff, or residents
Requirements
- Previous experience in caretaking, janitorial, or maintenance roles
- Familiarity with cleaning techniques, tools, and equipment
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to high cleanliness standards
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
- Physical stamina to perform manual tasks, including lifting and moving heavy objects
- Basic knowledge of maintenance and repair procedures
- Certification in caretaking or maintenance services
- Experience working in a similar environment (e.g., school, residential community, commercial property)
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations
- Working hours 07.00 - 09.30, 14.30 - 17.30
