Working Hours: 10am to 3pm Wednesday, Thursday & Friday (5 hours per day)
About Us: Nirvana Day Centre provides a warm, inclusive, and supportive space for adults with dementia/socially isolated in need of daytime care and companionship. We are currently seeking a reliable and compassionate activities co-ordinator/carer.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, organise, and lead a variety of activities that promote wellbeing, social interaction, and enjoyment for service users.
- Support service users with personal care, including assistance with toileting and mobility, while maintaining dignity and respect.
- Monitor and record participation, wellbeing, and progress, sharing feedback with the care team.
- Preparation of meals ensuring nutritional needs are met.
- Able to work with potentially challenging behaviour from our clients.
- Communicate respectfully with clients, families, and staff.
- Follow all safeguarding and health & safety procedures.
- Cleaning up at the end of the day ready for the next day.
Requirements:
- Previous experience with elderly or vulnerable adults (Personal Care).
- Friendly, patient, punctual, and dependable.
- Able to speak English and at least one of Punjabi or Hindi.
