NIRAS are a specialist engineering consultancy focused on the design and delivery of advanced, process engineering driven projects, providing Project Management, Engineering Design, Project and Managed Service resources to the Pharmaceutical, Brewing, Distilling, Food & Beverage Manufacturing industries across Ireland and internationally.
Due to a major pharmaceutical site expansion project and internal progression, NIRAS requires an experienced Operations Readiness Lead to support one of our pharmaceutical clients in the expansion of their advanced manufacturing facility in Limerick and providing additional support to associated supporting expansion workstreams through the startup phase to a state of operational readiness.
The Operations Readiness Lead plays a key role in ensuring the development of a comprehensive, coherent and integrated expansion project plan and its successful management. The role will involve working side by side with site functional workstream leaders and Project Managers associated with Project Delivery, reporting through site operations with a strong focus on integration of multiple project workstream deliverables.
The Operations Readiness Lead will ensure clear structured communications between client project team, Ops, TSMS, QA, QCL, Maintenance, Logistics, IT, Auto, understanding and working through complex linkages related to overall project scope aiming for right first time facility start-up and successful Process Validation.
Responsibilities:- Be a key interface point between the client project and end users to ensure the right priorities are communicated and understood across multiple stakeholders.
- Forecasting resource needs across the integrated plan and anticipating and resolving any projected resource issues before they impact project delivery.
- Leading a cross-functional team, creating and implementing an integrated plan.
- With input from all cross-functional stakeholders, identify all the relevant pre-manufacturing program elements necessary to be in place to support overall facility operational readiness.
- Work with clients project team and site functional representatives to develop an integrated start-up plan reflective of key linkages, interdependencies, durations, resource requirements etc.
- Partnering with relevant stakeholders to ensure clear scope alignment and resulting goals and timelines for the project are met.
- Facilitate decision making within the team under tight deadlines.
- Effectively communicating and managing internal and external stakeholders.
- Proactively managing issues, proposing and implementing plans to resolve as needed.
- Provide relevant metrics to appropriate Governance Forums.
- Hons Degree or Higher preferably in Engineering or Scientific field.
- 5+ years Large Scale Capital Project Deliveries experience highly desirable.
- Demonstrated project management and delivery of medium to large cross-functional initiatives.
- Demonstrated ability to input and influence decision making for complex technical issues.
- Demonstrated ability to manage in a dynamic environment.
- Flexibility to adjust quickly and effectively to frequent change and altered priorities.
- Excellent self-management/organizational skills; manage workload, set team priorities and adjust.
- Ability to interact with multiple functions - Technical Services, Engineering, Quality, QC, IT, Operations and combine work streams into an integrated schedule.
