LSL Capital is looking for an experienced and passionate Sommelier to join our London team. This is an exciting opportunity for a knowledgeable wine professional to lead and elevate the wine experience within a luxury hospitality environment.
We are seeking someone with exceptional wine knowledge, strong leadership skills, and a genuine passion for delivering outstanding guest experiences. The successful candidate will play a key role in developing and maintaining an exceptional wine programme that complements our culinary offering while ensuring the highest standards of service are consistently delivered.
Key Responsibilities- Curate, develop, and maintain the wine list in collaboration with senior management
- Deliver exceptional wine service and guest engagement throughout service
- Lead, train, and inspire the Front of House team on wine knowledge and service standards
- Conduct regular wine tastings and team training sessions
- Manage wine stock control, stock takes, ordering, and supplier relationships
- Monitor wine GP% and support profitability targets
- Ensure all wine is stored, rotated, and presented correctly to minimise wastage
- Maintain service standards and attention to detail
- Handle guest feedback and resolve wine-related queries professionally
- Ensure compliance with all licensing, health & safety, and company procedures
- Oversee cleanliness and organisation of wine cellars, cabinets, glassware, and sommelier equipment
- WSET Level 3 qualification or equivalent
- Strong knowledge of wines from a variety of regions
- Previous experience in a luxury or high-end restaurant environment
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Passion for wine, food, and hospitality
- Strong organisational and stock management abilities
