We are seeking a highly motivated Analyst to join our Strategic Sales & Analytics (SS&A) team, focused on supporting the Shark business across EMEA. This role is central to providing actionable insights, driving category performance, and enabling commercial teams to deliver against growth objectives in Shark’s core categories. The position is based in our vibrant London office.
The ideal candidate will bring strong analytical capability, commercial awareness, and curiosity to deep-dive into sales, market, and customer data. You will support SS&A Leads, Sales, and Marketing to ensure data-driven decisions that maximize growth and profitability across multiple countries.
Key Responsibilities:
Analytics & Reporting
- Gather, analyze, and interpret retail and sell-out data to assess Shark’s performance across EMEA.
- Build and maintain dashboards to track key KPIs such as sales, market share, distribution, and promotions.
- Deliver insights into category trends, competitor movements, and consumer behaviors to inform strategy.
- Support forecast accuracy through analysis, scenario planning, and post-mortems on performance.
Category & Commercial Support
- Partner with SS&A Leads to monitor Shark product category performance (e.g. floorcare, haircare, beauty) across markets.
- Evaluate assortment, pricing, and promotional strategies to identify growth opportunities.
- Provide pre- and post-launch analysis of new product introductions (NPD).
- Support the build and tracking of the annual promotional calendar, ensuring Shark wins in key moments.
Business Planning
- Contribute to business cases for new product launches and channel expansion.
- Support financial and performance reviews with data-driven insights and recommendations.
- Provide regular updates on competitor activity and market dynamics across EMEA.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with sales, marketing, finance, and supply chain to ensure aligned reporting and shared insights.
- Work with BI/data teams to standardize reporting and improve system efficiency.
- Share best practices across markets to drive consistency and scalability.
Requirements:
- 2–4 years’ experience in analytics, category management, or commercial roles (consumer goods, retail, or related industries preferred).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to translate data into actionable insights.
- Advanced Excel skills; experience with BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) is an advantage.
- Commercial acumen with understanding of retail/category dynamics.
- Clear communication skills with the ability to influence through data storytelling.
- Organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Proactive, curious, and eager to contribute to high-impact projects.
- Ability to work effectively across functions and countries.
