Senior Logistics Manager

Remote role; daily travel required to the 3PL warehouses in Corby, Northampton and Sheffield. Ideal candidate should be within commuting distance of these locations.

About the role

The Senior Logistics Manager will partner with all internal teams and the 3PL to improve service, operational activities and cost efficiency. This role requires strong experience in parcel carrier management, contract and relationship management and hub management.

• Analyse 3PL performance metrics and implement root‑cause action plans to drive daily, weekly and monthly improvements.
• Ensure 3PL operational resources meet business forecast requirements and manage day‑to‑day operations to deliver on time.
• Issue 3PL service reporting in line with agreed timescales and monitor storage utilisation to meet forecast needs.
• Communicate resource and storage plans to internal stakeholders to optimise cost.
• Identify and deliver cost‑reduction initiatives and improve inventory accuracy across the 3PL.
• Validate and reconcile 3PL invoices and audit KPI performance and liability coding.
• Audit SOP compliance and support continuous improvement and IT developments involving the 3PL.
• Attend weekly at the 3PL depots to build strong working relationships.

• Monthly reporting of contractual KPIs and performance improvement plans.
• Invoice accuracy and cost‑reduction delivery.
• Improved inventory integrity and alignment with internal stakeholders.
• Escalation of performance issues to the distribution director.
• Successful delivery of internal and external IT developments.

• Proven track record of leading logistics teams in a fast‑paced environment.
• Analytical and quantitative skills with the ability to use data to back up assumptions.
• Clear communication of data insights and a willingness to be hands‑on with workload.
• Commitment to learning and expanding professional knowledge.
• Deep understanding of the product, business and competitive landscape.
