This is a Fixed Term Contract for 14 months. We are seeking a proactive and conscientious Senior Management Accountant to join our UK Opex Finance team. This role will be responsible for the preparation, review and delivery of high-quality management information, providing meaningful insight into business performance and supporting stakeholders with effective decision making. This is an excellent opportunity for a part-qualified or newly qualified accountant (CIMA / ACCA / ACA) looking to further develop their technical expertise and business partnering skills within a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Take ownership of specific P&L areas within the monthly management accounts for UK Opex, ensuring accuracy, completeness and adherence to deadlines.
  • Prepare, review and challenge accruals and prepayments, ensuring appropriate accounting treatment and robust supporting documentation.
  • Deliver clear and insightful monthly Opex reporting, including variance analysis against budget and forecast.
  • Provide high-quality commentary and analysis, highlighting key drivers, risks and opportunities affecting performance.
  • Prepare balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring issues are identified and resolved promptly.
  • Partner with the FP&A team to support monthly reforecasting and budgeting cycles.
  • Actively identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency, control and quality of Opex reporting and month-end processes.
  • Respond to ad-hoc financial analysis and reporting requests from senior stakeholders.

Skills & Experience

  • Part-qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA or ACA preferred).
  • Strong technical accounting foundation with experience of management accounting and month end close.
  • Analytical and detail-oriented, with the ability to interpret financial data and translate it into clear business insight.
  • Confident communicator, able to engage effectively with non-finance stakeholders and challenge constructively where appropriate.
  • Well organised and resilient, with the ability to manage competing priorities and tight deadlines.
  • Proactive, collaborative and solutions-focused, with a continuous improvement mindset.
