What you'll do:
- As the Commercial Finance Director – UKI, you will serve as the primary financial partner for the UKI commercial leadership team, ensuring financial rigor, operational excellence, and data-driven decision-making. This role will oversee the UKI financial team, supporting commercial forecasts (sales to margin), financial operations, and P&L management, while also ensuring alignment with EMEA finance teams across direct to consumer, promotions, Amazon, and expense management. Reporting to the Senior Director of Finance, this role requires both strategic leadership and hands-on execution to drive financial success in one of SharkNinja’s key regions.
Financial Leadership & Business Partnering:
- Act as the lead financial partner for UKI commercial leadership, driving accountability for financial performance across sales, gross margin, and profitability.
- Facilitate the commercial forecast (sales to margin), ensuring alignment with regional objectives and driving accountability with key stakeholders.
- Partner with sales, marketing, and operational teams to identify opportunities for margin expansion, sales growth, and financial efficiency.
- Oversee the financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes, ensuring robust financial discipline and data-driven decision-making.
Financial Operations & P&L Management:
- Own the UKI P&L, ensuring accuracy in reporting and forecasting, while driving financial strategies to optimize revenue and profitability.
- Oversee financial operations, ensuring efficient and effective processes for financial planning, reporting, and controls.
- Drive continuous improvement in financial processes, ensuring alignment with best practices and global finance initiatives.
Team Leadership & Stakeholder Engagement:
- Lead and develop a UKI-based finance team, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and high performance.
- Manage Finance Business Partners dedicated to commercial finance, ensuring they are aligned with business priorities and delivering high-impact insights.
- Partner with EMEA finance teams to ensure smooth execution of regional initiatives, including direct to consumer, promotions, Amazon, and expense management.
Strategic Initiatives & Special Projects:
- Identify and implement strategic initiatives to drive margin expansion, working closely with commercial teams to optimize pricing, promotions, and channel mix.
- Provide insights and recommendations on market expansion, new product launches, and investment decisions to support UKI growth.
- Lead cross-functional financial projects, partnering with key internal stakeholders to drive operational efficiencies and financial excellence.
What you'll bring:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field; MBA or equivalent advanced degree highly preferred.
- 10+ years of progressive experience in financial planning, analysis, and business partnering roles.
- Proven experience in commercial finance within consumer goods, retail, or e-commerce industries.
- Strong leadership and team management experience, with the ability to develop and mentor finance professionals.
- Advanced proficiency in financial modeling, forecasting, and scenario planning.
- Expertise in financial reporting systems and tools such as Power BI, Adaptive Insights, or similar platforms.
- Strong analytical skills and strategic mindset, with a track record of driving margin expansion and financial performance improvement.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence executive leadership and cross-functional teams.
