Job Description
Job Title: Product Manager
Salary: Dependent on experience
Reporting to: Heads of Marketing and Marketing Operations
Working Hours: 10am-6pm
Location: Minimum of Tuesday & Wednesday each week in our Kennington Office

Ninja Tune is looking for an experienced product manager to work across Ninja Tune and our imprints including Counter Records. Planning and executing campaigns with the Ninja Tune team, artists and managers with a high degree of responsibility, you will manage record release campaigns from beginning to end working closely with the marketing team and all other departments.Â
The candidate should have substantial and proven experience of creating and managing record campaigns, with a strong understanding of the digital landscape and digital marketing, audience building, streaming ecosystems, and data led decision-making. This role will be busy and demanding, and requires both creative and critical thinking.
About you:
- Passionate about music with substantial and proven record product management experience, you will have broken artists and delivered successful charting album campaigns
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple campaigns at once, you can identify key drivers and have meticulous attention to detail
- Proven capability to work autonomously, demonstrating the ability to make decisions and manage a busy and demanding workloadÂ
- Efficient, with excellent time management and problem solving skills, with the ability to prioritise and recognise when to lean in or pivot strategy
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with ability to present label and industry best practices, results and data driven insights effectivelyÂ
- Excellent relationship-building and relationship-management skills and the ability to deal with difficult situations calmly and with tact and diplomacy
- Proven experience of successful digital marketing campaigns, with an in-depth knowledge of DSP ecosystems, music discovery, social promo, trends and best practices, as well as paid marketing and how to drive overall consumption
- Experience of delivering innovative creative marketing ideas that have engaged and grown the fanbase, showing a good understanding of latest D2F strategies
- Confidence in interpreting and presenting analytics for pitching, including streaming, social, CRM and campaign performance data, to optimise campaign strategy
- Adept at story telling, ideating, strategising and delivering content in all forms
- IT Literate – good understanding in Word, Excel, Pages, Mail, Outlook etc

The Role:Â
- Work with Heads of departments and wider teams, artists and managers to plan and execute campaigns, marketing strategy, and implement that strategy with a high degree of responsibility to reach campaign goals to drive overall consumption.Â
- Collaborate closely with the Digital team to devise integrated digital-first campaigns – exploring innovative ways to embrace new technologies, platform and fan engagement tools, content partnerships, digital communities and social media trends to reach fans across streaming, social and emerging platforms.
- Take a key role in organising, coordinating and energising the different parts of effective release campaigns.
- Oversee the ‘bigger picture’ on campaigns and ensure all areas of a campaign are working together.Â
- Coordinate and facilitate digital / physical releases, working with marketing assistants to set up and ensuring logistical release processes run smoothly and effectively including physical manufacturing and distribution and DSP deliveries and pitching.Â
- Ensure all campaign deadlines are met including for digital deliveries and DSP pitching and physical manufacturing.
- Ensure campaign assets are procured in a timely fashion – from audio, artwork, videos, social content, press shots and DSP assets.Â
- Create and maintain campaign timelines in conjunction with artist management and live agents, briefing teams and sharing release information efficiently.
- Support Digital Sales team to coordinate DSP strategy, write thorough pitching notes, and deliver strong plans for playlisting, algorithmic discovery and fan conversion.
- Use analytics of all marketing work on individual campaigns (including but not limited to, streaming data, social engagement, web traffic, CRM, ticket sales etc) to measure campaign effectiveness and ensure that all results are communicated internally as well as external marketing agencies and artist management.Â
- Hire retainers and other third parties for PR, radio etc where necessary, and drive and manage those relationships and campaigns to ensure effective work.
- Create detailed reports of all marketing work on individual campaigns, to ensure that all results are communicated to Ninja Tune staff, distribution, digital sales team, external marketing agencies and artist management.Â
- Create and maintain campaign budgets, seek approval on all spends.Â
- Work with the physical sales and distribution teams to set physical formats, appropriate pressing quantities and ensure physical stock is delivered on time.Â
- Work with the retail teams and distributors to strategise and implement effective pre-order campaigns to secure career defining chart positions for our artists, incorporating live strategy, pop ups, CRM, D2C and paid retail promo and more.
- Work with the Head of Audience, digital team and Head of Marketing to plan and implement advertising on your campaigns, analysing results and taking action as needed
- Manage promotional and launch events where required.Â
- Artist liaison and accompanying/organising artists at promo and events where required.Â
