Responsibilities

We’re looking for a Community and Social Media Manager to join us on an 18‑month freelance contract. In this role, you’ll oversee Ninja Theory’s online presence, driving the growth and engagement of our online communities across platforms such as X, Facebook, YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, Steam, Reddit, Discord and more. You will create assets for timely social and community needs, plan and execute engaging campaigns to convert followers into champions of our studio, and build a community of advocates for our games. By creating content, monitoring and moderating channels and engaging with players, you’ll be the bridge between our players and our team, building trust and ensuring consistency in tone of voice and personality across all platforms.

Required Skills

  • A deep understanding and passion for video games, the industry and their communities.
  • Excellent communication skills to engage authentically with players in a warm, friendly manner.
  • Effective insights into social media trends.
  • Strong creative copywriting skills and a good instinct for what drives engagement.
  • Ability to interpret social metrics and translate insights into action.

Experience

  • Background in community and/or social media management within the video games industry.
  • Proven experience growing social and community platforms with an understanding of the games industry, including online trends and sentiment.
  • Fluency in modern social and community platforms (X, Instagram, TikTok, Discord, YouTube, Reddit, Facebook).
  • Familiarity with social media metrics and what drives engagement across channels.
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite.
