Job Title : General Assistant
Reports to : Supervisor / Duty Manager
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and menus.
- Assist in meal preparation and ensure that all food is prepared in a timely manner.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, including proper storage of ingredients.
- Follow food safety guidelines to ensure the health and safety of all staff and customers.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations during service hours.
- Monitor food stock levels and assist with inventory management as needed.
- Help train new kitchen staff on cooking techniques and safety practices.
Experience
- Previous experience as a Cook or in a similar culinary role is preferred.
- Familiarity with food preparation techniques and kitchen equipment is essential.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in the restaurant industry is highly desirable.
- A passion for culinary arts and willingness to learn new skills will be advantageous.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
